The design is influenced by past expeditions and old-time heritage country sports, but the design has been up-dated and adapted for the modern-day explorers and for activities such as: hunting, safari expeditions, aviator and mountaineering. The collection is timeless, hard wearing and it can be passed over to generations. It is utility fashion at the core, but yet elegant to be worn in urban environments

CALEDONIA - GOTHENBURG

This story theme draws inspiration from the British country side, particularily from Caledonia - the former Roman name of Scotland, but the photoshoot was actually shot in the heart of Gothenburg city.

The heritage from iconic British field, army, expedition and hunt wear are visable throughout the collection, but have been updated into a comtemporary collection manufactured mainly in premium goat suede

The collection is stylish and contemporary, but still yet weather repellent and hard wearing. The garments have been treated with a durable paraffin wax finish, to protect the garment for harsher climates.

THE ABBEY - SKOSJÖKLOSTER

The photoshoot of this story theme took place at Bosjökloster (English: Bosjö Abbey) which is a castle located on the shore of Lake Ringsjön in Höör Municipality, in southern part of Sweden. 

Coloniaire present a timless and utility collection with heritage from past eras, but in the same time it is contemporary and updated for modern-day explorers in the city and in the country side. 

Coloniaire’s fieldwear are executed with a lot of usefull and stylish detailing and the components are utility designed to fulfill its area of use.

The outerwear from Colonaire are in many ways inspired by British Army officers wear, such as: the trench coat ’INSPECTEUR’and the duffel coat ’MARSHAL’ It is utility wear at it´s core, with the protecting waxed finishing.

Coloniaire’s range of shooting vest in herringbone tweed wool or in in waxed goat suede is ideal for milder days. Features tuned for the field including quilted patches on the shoulders for added grip and to reduce the recoil in the field.

Below is the our handmade take on the classic Norfolk jacket. This style is both available for men and women. Both garments featuring unique utility detailing for shooting or hunting or for a night out on the town.

The trouser ’Earl’ is a robust, heavy-waxed goat suede breechs, that can be matched with many of the other garments in the collection. Here it’s matched with the suspenders in tweed and the field jacket ’Trailmaster Tweed’.

HAUZ KHAS - NEW DEHLI

This story theme ’Hauz Khas’ was shoot in the southern section of Dehli, at the Hauz Khas Complex which is one of India’s historical sites. It was constucted in mediaval times and it’s surrounded by a multitude of monuments, madrasas and mosques.

This photoshoot took place in s small paradise called Bhakti Kutir in the Southern part of Goa in India: A ’Back To Nature’ journey to an oasis crafted in harmony with the earth.

The goat suede in this collection has been given a special treatment that gives the suede an antique beautiful melange patina finish. We refer to it as jungle stout. The colour palette and the patina of these garments has been inspired by the Hauz Khas beautiful and aging character.
